Fostering Diversity & Equity in Outdoor Leadership

The Resilience Outdoor Conference aspires for people from all backgrounds to see themselves reflected in outdoor leaders. We are creating a foundation for Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), and/or the LGBTQ communities to gain comfort and confidence in outdoor skills, while developing leaders through wilderness medicine certificate training, outdoor education, and community resilience.

We invite you to sponsor the Resilience Outdoor Conference and express your support for diversity in the outdoors. You will join a team of dedicated corporations, member organizations, and community leaders who share our vision of building and supporting strong community-led efforts to create lasting change in the outdoors.

Explore. Learn. Connect.

Resilience Outdoor Conference has redesigned what an outdoor conference looks like by centering our community’s growth and ability to reach the summit of the outdoor industry. Resilience is hands-on, in the wild, and led by community leaders in the outdoor industry.

What Attendees Say About Resilience

“Food choices were amazing! Everyday I was excited for meal time! I also thought all of the finances were very well spent. I enjoyed it all.”

“It was perhaps the first time in my life I had done a large group activity where I felt like I could completely be myself. I liked the overall feeling of community.”

“I loved the place and land, I loved the array of workshops offered, I loved the communal food, I loved how many POC were present.”

“I liked all the community I came across. I felt safe and well informed. I enjoyed all the workshops!”

“I enjoyed the welcoming atmosphere, the accessibility, generosity, preparedness and well thought out set up, the amazing workshops. And, most importantly, the ways that Resilience really centered POC LGBTQ folks' experience.”
